About The Cyclist Lawyer
Meet Andrew,
The Cyclist Lawyer
Andrew’s love of bicycles began as a kid in the rural lumber mill town of Priest River in the panhandle of Idaho. It was his Huffy 10 speed that provided transportation, freedom and endless fun. Andrew says he invented gravel riding – but really it’s just that all of the roads in north Idaho are dirt and most of his friends lived miles away.
Fast forward a few years… he moved to Utah, enrolled at Weber State University, married an Ogden local and eventually made his way to Boulder where he graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law before and started his career as an attorney.
Needing a way to clear his head from work related stress and to keep the dad bod at bay, he began commuting on his bike (17 miles each way regardless of conditions) and rediscovered his childhood love of two wheels. It’s now been 17 years, and he’s never looked back. He’s logged nearly 60,000 miles on Strava, litigated and won numerous cases at trial and settled thousands of others out of court.
His passion for cycling and helping others motivated him to focus his legal practice almost exclusively on representing cyclists who have been injured by others while riding their bikes.
Andrew lives in Arvada, Colorado with his wife, four kids and their dog, Ezra. When not working he seeks out adventure and memorable experiences anyway he can, be it summitting high peaks, skiing deep powder or cycling great routes. He is a member of the bar in Utah and Colorado and, if necessary, co-counsels with other attorneys to represent clients outside of those states.
